Took my Ruk Solar Backpack on a last minute trip over the weekend and I am still in disbelief of how convenient it is. Easily fits everything I need for a weekend trip and then some. The various compartments make cruising through the airport a breeze. The backpack itself is massive but somehow feels light, even when slung over one shoulder. Fully expected the solar panel to be a gimmick but it actually works and works well. The backpack is able to stand on its own and maintains its shape, even when tossed around. It’s great to finally have a high-performance bag that does it all and that you don’t have to be precious with!

I borrowed my friends for a camping trip I had to go to. And I really liked its features. Especially the solar panel and usb charger. I take picture in the mountains and my stuff can tend to die and it great to have that back up and not lose a whole days of work. I was wondering if you had something more compact. The hikes I go on can be long or hard tight places. Also what I was wondering if it can be integrated. You know like camel backs. A bladder to hold like a liter of water with a tube to drink out of.

FAQ
All RuK bags are water-resistant, but not “submerge underwater” waterproof. The high-grade polyester resists water, and the zippers are weather-sealed.
The meal compartment measures 5" x 13" x 5.5" (12.7 x 33 x 14 cm). Yes, the compartment is sealed and insulated, which prolongs desired temperatures. Ice packs will stay preserved like most basic cooler bags.
Yes, All RuK Packs are specifically engineered to connect with most battery packs requiring USB power to charge. The side pocket offers easy storage and access for portable phone charging battery packs.
In ideal sun conditions and temperature, the solar panel will provide a 1% charge increase every 2-3 minutes. Under ideal conditions, the solar charge can power-on a 0% smartphone in 10-13 minutes (note: at least 3% power is required to turn on most iPhones). Most smartphones can be fully charged with your RuK solar power in 7-9 hours starting from 0%.
Wherever there is UV light, the solar panel will work. The level of direct sunlight will impact the level of power it produces. Your RuK Power Bank should be used to charge indoors, at night, or on very cloudy days.
